I am responsible for overall church vision and direction, overseeing our teaching and preaching, and developing our staff and key volunteer leaders. I am a teacher to my core and I'm always looking for new ways and opportunities to help people grow in their faith.

I was born on May 5th, 1980 in Maumee, OH. Though I grew up Catholic (and very much value that background), my faith became more my own in high school when I attended a youth camp. I stayed involved with that organization through high school and became a volunteer leader while attending Bowling Green State University. After graduating in 2002 I took a full-time staff position where I stayed for eight years before transitioning to the church in 2011.

My wife, Kari, and I met in high school, though we didn't hang in the same crowds. We started dating in college and got married in 2005. Four years later we welcomed our daughter, Nora, four years after that added our son, Ryder, and three years after that added our youngest, Lucy.

While working full-time, first in the para-church world and then for the church, I completed a Master's Degree in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry in Practical Theology at Duke University (Go Blue Devils!). I love our church family and I'm excited about the kind of church we're becoming with each passing season.

I joined the staff team at WCC in 2003 and have been privileged to work with lots of different people. Although my role has changed many times over the years, my current role offers a variety of responsibilities in overall office administration; volunteer recruitment, training and development; preaching and teaching; and last, but not least, pastoral community care (I enjoy this the most).

I am a home girl and except for my college years at Western Michigan University have lived within a 15 mile radius of our current home in Whitehouse. I met my husband Jeff in 1990 a few months before I graduated. We currently spend every chance we get with our amazing grandsons, Lucas and Emmett and their parents, Seth and Kaitlynd and their Uncle Noah and Aunt Maya.

In my previous career as an Occupational Therapist I worked with people experiencing injuries and illnesses on what we called 'lifestyle redesign' and deep down, I've always considered my role here to be about helping people with the ultimate lifestyle redesign, transformation through the love of Jesus. I believe this is what I'm called to do as someone who has been and continues to be transformed and shaped by this love.  

I am responsible for developing and overseeing our ministry to families with children birth though high school graduation.
 
I was born and raised in the Toledo area and am a graduate of Springfield High School and the University of Toledo. I grew up in a Christian church-going family but it was not until junior high that I learned following Jesus was about so much more than attending church.

My husband, Dustin, and I met in college, got married and worked in full-time ministry together for 6 years in both Bowling Green, Ohio and Oxford, Pennsylvania. We then had three children in less than three years and decided it was time to move back home. No matter where we were living this church has always felt like home to me and my family so we naturally fit right back into this community.

I have been in this role, as the Family Pastor, since 2019 and am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to walk with kids and families through their faith journeys. 

My role here at WCC is to disciple people through music and arts, and create an atmosphere in which people can connect with God through music and media. My formal training is in I.T., but my passion is music. Having grown up in a very musical household, I joined the band at church as a teenager, and began leading worship in 2001.
I met my wife Emily in 2003, and we were married in 2005 at Waterville Community Church. A year later we moved to West Virginia to serve as youth and worship directors for a non-profit in one of the poorest counties in the U.S. Our four years serving there brought incredible spiritual growth, eye-opening life experiences, and the blessing of our first two children: Gabriel (2008) and Silas (2009).
In 2010 we moved back NW Ohio and added two more children: Eliana (2012) and Rosalie (2015). We began attending WCC in 2012 and within weeks I joined the music team as a volunteer and a year later I joined the staff.
As a family we enjoy all things outdoors - hiking through the Toledo Metroparks, cycling on the Wabash-Cannonball Trail, sledding at the "big hill," and reading and playing games together when the weather keeps us inside.
