Our core values form the riverbank through which all ministries within our church will travel in order to help us accomplish our mission and vision. These values are the non-negotiables of how we will do ministry together. All future decisions and actions will be motivated by these basic principles.

COMMUNITY

Community is the only context in which the message of the New Testament makes sense.  Our understanding of biblical principles is dependent upon it being lived in real relationships with other imperfect and yet intriguing people whom we love unconditionally.  We must each operate in our own strengths and allow others to do the same.  Valuing people over programs and products will help to ensure our health at all levels.  Healthy conflict resolution is an expression of a healthy community.  We are wired to journey together, not alone.

AUTHENTICITY

Being real is not an option; it is a direct expression of honesty that helps define God.  Vulnerability, while sometimes not in our comfort zone, is the key that unlocks our right to be heard by our culture.  We realize we are all on a journey together and must allow for the natural growth that will occur over time in our own and others' lives.  We recognize that this is true for us, as individuals, as well as a community.  Humility is the byproduct of an authentic life.  Knowing God is the quest that leads to the real.

INNOVATION

Being made in the image of the Creator presupposes that we will be creative by nature.  God designed the senses by which we access certain forms of reality.  We are committed to using every avenue that God has provided for the comprehension of truth.  We realize that art, in all of its forms, strums the strings of our soul and resonates where words alone could never go.  Creative use of music, image, drama, scent, color, and texture in our message presentation and physical environment creates an "On Ramp" to the experiencing of God.

RELEVANCE

Answering questions no one is asking is called irrelevance.  We are committed to being God dependent, prayer-empowered, and biblically based as we search for these questions and the answers they require.  The authentic message of God is timeless, understandable and exciting to all cultures, including ours.  If our communal language is unintelligible to those we are called to reach we will learn to speak theirs out of love for them and the truth we are passionate about sharing.

LIFE TRANSFORMATION

At the end of the day if we aren't seeing lives (mine, yours, and "ours") transformed, we have missed our purpose for being here.  Renewing our minds to the reality of God will always produce transformation.  Everything else we do must be measured by this goal.
